Anxiety is ubiquitous in modern life. From climate change and politics to the daily stressors, it is nearly impossible not to be anxious about something. However, there are ways to rise above it and live a more tranquil life. Psychoanalysis and it’s cousins (psychotherapy and counseling) were coined by Freud as the ‘talking cure.’ Nearly a century has passed since it was discovered that powerful emotions, such as anxiety, can lose its power by the guided experience of psychotherapy.
